We take you to Huaqiangbei, the largest electronics component market on earth. This is not a tourist visit. Guided by a technical sourcing expert, you will learn how to build a product from scratch, for example a smartphone. You will source components like batteries, screens, chips, connectors, and casings from different vendors across the market, all within a few city blocks.
The exercise demonstrates how products are decomposed into individual parts, how each component is sourced from specialized suppliers, and how the density of Shenzhen’s hardware ecosystem allows engineers to move from concept to functional prototype in hours or days. Manufacturing Guided Visits
